He from whom the world does not shrink, who does not shrink from the world, who is free from joy and envy, fear and agitation — such a person is dear to me.

यस्मान्नोद्विजते लोको लोकान्नोद्विजते च यः। हर्षामर्षभयोद्वेगैर्मुक्तो यः स च मे प्रियः॥
Transliteration
yasmān nodvijate loko lokān nodvijate ca yaḥ; harṣāmarṣa-bhayodvegair mukto yaḥ sa ca me priyaḥ
English translation
He from whom the world does not shrink, who does not shrink from the world, who is free from joy and envy, fear and agitation — such a person is dear to me.
Meaning — what the verse is actually saying
A precise description of social grace: the person whom others do not flee, and who does not flee others. Free from being elated by praise, agitated by blame, gripped by fear, or thrown by sudden change.
Modern practice — what to do today because of this
When you notice someone shrinking around you — a colleague going quiet, a friend backing away — look honestly at whether your intensity, criticism, or moodiness is the cause. The Gita is asking for a presence others can stay near.
